About Us

Welcome to Casita Spanish Home Daycare in Durham!

We are a warm and caring home daycare where children learn, play, and grow in a safe and loving environment.

At Casita, we introduce children to the Spanish language through songs, stories, and everyday routines, helping them build a strong foundation for bilingual learning. With small group sizes, we give each child the attention they need to feel happy, confident, and supported.

Our goal is : to create a place where children feel at home, families feel at ease, and learning is part of everyday fun.

Welcome to Casita Spanish Home Daycare in Durham!

Hello families! My name is Daniela, and I’m the owner and teacher of Casita Spanish. I was born and raised in El Salvador, where I discovered my love for teaching early on—my mom is also a teacher, so education has always been part of my life. I earned my degree in Elementary Education  from Universidad Pedagógica de El Salvador. I also completed my Culinary Arts studies at Escuela Especializada en Ingeniería (ITCA-FEPADE).

Since moving to the United States in 2016. I’ve worked in preschools, daycares, and  well known Spanish Montessori school in Raleigh where I spent much of my time teaching in the outdoor classroom. Along the way I earned an Early Childhood Development Certificate from Durham Technical Community College, as well as an Early Childhood Administration Certificate from Durham Technical Community College. In addition, I hold 0-3 Assistant Certificate from Association Montessori Internationale (AMI) and 3-6 Assistant Certificate from Association Montessori Internationale.

Opening Casita Spanish is a dream come true. I truly enjoy spending time with children, guiding their curiosity, and creating opportunities for them to learn through play, exploration, and language.

My biggest joy is helping little ones grow while introducing them to the beauty of Spanish in a warm and caring environment.
